PEP - Integrated product and process development

    Product development is a core competence of hpc. In cooperation with our customers, economical and innovative products are produced, from the designing to the mass production.3D CAD design (CATIA V5, CATIA NX and CREO), simulation, FEM up to the verification and validation of the products are implemented in-house or with long-term partners.These objectives are achieved with a team of experts from all disciplines.
    Physical experiments and static or dynamic computer simulations belong as standard tools to the product and process development of hpc.
    In addition to the simulation, hardware tests for validating the products are conducted. The service package of the hpc includes static loads and endurance tests to dynamic and climatic stresses.
    A flexible and powerful prototyping, with years of experience, is also part of the hpc service package. Despite all the possibilities in the virtual world of CAD and the simulation technology, prototypes still play a decisive role. From concept car to forward/small series production, there are economical production facilities in-house.
    For the continuous monitoring of the dimensional stability of hpc products and for creating complete measurement logs, 6 precision measuring stations in 3D technology for components up to a size of 1,000 x 1,000 x 2,500 mm³ are available. A CAD connection is also part of the standard, as is an automated probe changer for maximum precision and reproducibility.
    In hpc's own laboratory, the most important tests are conducted on their own equipment in order to support the development and to monitor the production quality. These include the analysis of microstructures, such as welds, the spectral analysis of materials as well as the pull and compressive strength tests and hardness tests of samples of already processed components. Furthermore, the possibilities for in-house climate and corrosion tests are also realised here with hpc equipment.
